Design and Installation - The design was drawn for us but we were given a little artistic lisence to create the pool and rock garden. A butyl liner lined the pond with a protective underlay. Local Purbeck Stone was used for the rock garden and to line the marginal shelf. A 'beach' was formed using cobbles to one end. Extra liner and Purbeck Stone was used for the 'babbling brook'.

Buff coloured paving was edged with a contrasting charcoal coloured cobble. To make the design and to make future maintenance easier, the lawn is edged with the same charcoal covered block.

A planting of perennials and ornamental grasses. Many different varieties were used to create plenty of interest for the customer, a really keen plantsman and gardener.

The planting around the pool and rock garden is mulched in 6mm pea shingle to help suppress weeds and to keep the plants clean and healthy.
