Design and Installation - The garden was split into two areas, the lower level providing the play area. New softwood sleepers were used to retain the soil and create steps leading to a gate and to the upper garden. The sleepers also act as convenient seating for the children. Playbark was laid to a good depth beneath the climbing frames just in case of any accidents! The area was fenced in with a combination of Hazel hurdles and picket fencing so that the children would be safe and secure. The Hazel hurdles screened the climbing frames from the road. Planting in this area consisted of tough childproof plants which would quickly recover from injury and scented herbs to hopefully stimulate the senses. Scottish pebbles were spread around the base of the plants to provide a cleaner surface so clothing would not get mucky.

On the upper level, the main garden area was given a natural feel. The Hazel hurdles and picket fencing give a rustic backdrop the planting. The planting mainly consists of grasses and perennials with a central Himalayan birch tree.
